August 28 - Ready, but not Waiting

I hate waiting!  I hate waiting in doctors offices, checkout lines, stop lights, and especially for my computer.  And I know I'm not alone.  I can only wait so long before its time to find something more productive to do with my time.  Which makes a big part of Christianity rather difficult for impatient people.  Jesus made a promise that we've been waiting for Him to make good on for almost 2000 years.  That's way too long to wait.  But another look at a rather strange story Jesus told will take us to a very different place.  A place of ready, but not waiting.
